ISLANDS – Jonny Mew + Jerome Bechard
From humble beginnings as a self-taught musician, Jonny’s journey as a songwriter began at age 15 when he first picked up a guitar and joined a rock band in high school in the Northern Territory, where he grew up. Now a more mature man and musician, Jonny performs his powerful originals and covers with his own soulful blend of raw bluesy vocals, guitar loops, didgeridoo and trumpet. With Jerome’s energetic mix of percussion and world drums beats, the show is lifted to a new level of energy. These two music men, provide for an entertaining evening of a blend of roots and reggae, with some little surprises in the mix.
